Care Policies

Immunization Policy

Only fully immunized children are accepted, though extended schedules are allowed. A doctor’s letterhead or stamp is required for immunization records, which must be updated within three days of each new vaccination. A 24-hour waiting period after shots is preferred but not required.

Facility Security

We take safety very seriously. Parents are welcome to drop by at any time, but the front door will be locked, for safety. Parents will need to text or call me to be let in. Non-parents or guardians must be listed on the authorized pick-up list to be allowed access to the facility. They also must be prepared to show identification, which will be matched with the approved pick-up list.

Discipline & Behavior Guidance

Children are guided with positive reinforcement, redirection, and natural consequences. No physical or emotional punishment is used. Time-outs are applied only when necessary (one minute per year of age), and children are encouraged to resolve conflicts independently. Serious or repeated behavioral issues may require a parent meeting, and in extreme cases, termination of care.

Health & Illness Policy

I will maintain good hygiene and notify you of any symptoms. The daycare will not close for mild illnesses (provider) like colds or allergies, but it will close for more severe illnesses. I am entitled to up to twelve personal days per year.

If your child becomes ill, I will alert you and request that you pick up your child within an hour.

This policy aims to prevent the spread of illness among children and the provider.

I am CPR an first aid certified. I also have a plan for all emergencies that may arise.
